Learn To Be Humble

TODAY'S DEVOTION:

Luke 14:11 - For all those who exalt themselves will be humbled, and those who humble themselves will be exalted.”

GREEK TERMS:

ταπεινῶν (tapeinōn) - Those Who Humble
The one who is humble in nature, is favoured by God.

ὑψωθήσεται (upsōthēsetai) - Will Be Exalted
The one who is humble in their words and actions shall see the blessings of God.

KEY THOUGHTS:

Jesus is the best example to begin with. He was humble from his very birth. He is the king of the universe yet He chose the poor family. He worked as a carpenter. He obeyed His human parents. He was friends with the sinners. He ate with the sinners. And He gave His life on the Cross. Just for the sins of the Human beings. He was treated like a sinner, the one who does crimes. Yet Jesus was humble.

As young people, we opt to be friends with the people who are rich, who has name and fame. So that we too can be benefited. The cloths that we wear, the accents that we speak, the people that we roam around, the attitude that we project around. It's all being measured by the ruler of God. We don't need to seek success, follow the lord, be humble, let no one know your presence. Wherever you go, whatever you do, may Jesus be shown through you.

BARRIERS TO BREAK:

1. Proud talks
2. Evil thoughts
3. Treating others low
4. Thoughts of getting higher position
5. Not allowing others to rise up

SPIRITUAL HABITS:

1. Speak and act humbly
2. Recheck my actions
3. Allow others to take the front
4. Not to behave weirdly as if I am someone
5. Be normal and conscious

FAITH AFFIRMATIONS:

Today I will give my best in behaving well in my words and actions, and I will remove all the thoughts that make me Exalted. I will be humble in my words, actions and in my character.

WORD OF PRAYER:

Dear Lord, forgive us for the days we have been boastful. Teach us to be humble in all our ways, may our lives be pleasing to you. In Jesus name we ask in Faith.

Amen
