Pruned to Perfection

TODAY'S DEVOTION:

Luke 6:44 - Each tree is recognized by its own fruit.

 GREEK TERMS:

 ἕκαστον (ekaston) - Each

It's about an individual standing before God.

 δένδρον (dendron) - Tree

The tree represents a person and its life in Christ.

 ἰδίου (idiou) - It's Own

The character, The attitude which is built with or without Christ.

 καρποῦ (karpou) - Fruit

The change of heart, which is examined again and again before God.

 THOUGHT OF THE DAY:

As I've already mentioned, Christian Life is not an easy thing. The moment we accept Christ in our lives, we are in constant care sight of the angels. Our thoughts, talks and acts are carefully and keenly observed and reported to God. I have read in a book, the writer says, God plants a seed in heaven and waters it, removes all weeds and watched it grow, He also prunes the tree and also cuts down all the unnecessary branches. And there's a multitude of such trees, where some bear fruit, some still have leaves, some are yet to become a sprout from the seed, some have grown tall but dried, some have sweet and some have sour fruits, some have only flowers... And it goes on. The writer says, these trees are each and every individual who lives in earth. These people are no ordinary ones rather Christian believers, who are baptized in the name of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit. Such beings are seen as trees. Their spiritual and moral behaviours are watched carefully. 

The Father in heaven is the gardener and we are the garden, as He is the Potter and we are the clay in His Hands. Sometimes God becomes a Wood worker, sometimes a potter, sometimes a gardener and sometimes a Furnace. It all happens to us, because God wants us to be Perfect and prepare ourselves to His Perfection. God knows living a Holy and Pleasing Life is very difficult but He knows well, if His Son could survive this World, then ofcourse we humans can also do it. We often fail to reach upto the level which God expects of us. We are just so lazy and taken our God too granted. We have taken God's grace, love and sacrifice too granted. Or else we won't be wasting our time in the foolishness of this world. The Word says, each one you must bear its own fruit. And yes, it is true, we often depend on our parents or our mentors or prayer partners to uplift us in their prayers. My dear friends, this is not what God is expecting of us. God expects each and every individual to surrender, commit and Sacrifice their lives and take up their own cross. God expects every individual to kneel down in prayers, hear His voice, and correct ourselves and bear good fruits. 

If we do not allow God to correct us then we won't make it to heaven. We need to go through the rough heated cauterization process. It's a must to go through the furnace, it's a must to bear the pain while the potters scraps off all the dead scales and pebbles, it's a must for each and every believer in Christ to have their stubborn branches to be cut off. Only then we will be able to bear fruits that is useful and pleasing to God's sight.

 WORD OF THE DAY:

My dear brothers and sisters in Christ, God desires to give you His riches and blessings. But we alone become a hindrance for our own blessings. We mistaken that someone else has snatched away your blessings. When you're life is unworthy, your prayers won't be answered, your blessings won't reach you. If you face something is been missing in your life then it is God. Hold on to Him, do not leave Him. Fall on His Knees and beg Him to rescue you from the pit of darkness. The darkness of sin, the darkness of curse, the darkness which we have caused because of our own leisure time and laziness. 

Always remember you are in the garden of God, the gardener is watching over you, if He catches you with something wrong, He might pull of the wrong weed, we can't dare to anger in God when some rough edges are been scratched. Because this is when we are being pruned to perfection. When God removes some people from your life, be happy, it's for your own good. God is saving you from something that is going to happen very worse. Don't spoil your relationship with God, if he removes or adds some situations in your life, because this is where you are getting into perfection.

Allow God to bring you such stormy situations only then you learn to hold on to God. The pain is yours, the prayers are yours, everything you do under the shadow of God, will lead you to the expectations of God. Follow His Footsteps, imitate how God walked and dealt with the people around Him. Learn from Him how He prayed, Obey the commandments which He has inscripted in the Living Word. Allow God to work in you. Do not lean on to your own strength and understanding. Depend on God Alone. Build a relationship with God, May the Holy Spirit help you and teach you to be become His favourite child.

 INTROSPECTING TIME:

1. Won't it pain when something so close to me is been removed?

2. Will I be able to live a Holy and Pleasing Life to God?

3. Why don't I see good things happening to me?

4. Why is it always me? Why me?

5. What will my peers think about me when I don't follow the trend?

 WORD OF PRAYER:

Dear Lord, we ask help from you. We believe that Holy Spirit is in full control. May we bear good fruits, teach us, correct us, mend us, prune us and water us Lord. We keep our complete trust in you. Give us a heart to accept everything that comes through you. May we surrender ourselves before you. In Jesus's name we ask in Faith.
