The Peek of Faith

TODAY'S DEVOTION:

Luke 7:23 - Blessed is anyone who does not stumble on account of me.”

 GREEK TERMS:

 μακάριος (makarios) - Blessed
The one who is totally into God is called Blessed.

ὃς (os) - is He who
It's about an individual who has put his trust upon God.

σκανδαλισθῇ (skandalisthē) - does not stumble
The one who doesn't say anything that is offensive against God.

 THOUGHT OF THE DAY:

This Word is very simple but has a deep meaning. Jesus phrases this statement clearly about how He feels at that moment. Jesus doesn't hesitate to express His thoughts about the people He is with. When this statement is read again and again, we can understand that Jesus was craving or in other terms, it means Jesus was really wanting to see atleast 1 of them to put their trust in Him. It's not wrong to think about it. Because every parent want their teen child to trust and depend them. They expect their child to listen their words instead of the pleasures exhibited by their peers. In the same way, a teacher or a pastor or a Boss expect their subjects to follow their lead, learn what is been taught. But when the expectations are not fulfilled, the opposite party gets disappointed on us and unknowingly they picture us in a negative character. Thus Jesus too was concerned about how His people were thinking about Him about putting their Trust in Him.

This Word expresses a desire to be trusted, and not to be offensive when something good is done. We may have experienced sometimes in a group meet, there will be atleast one person who will be a disappointment to everyone. We human beings especially the one who have been baptized by the name of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit, who have received the Holy Spirit and gifts, we too fall into the tricks of the devil. The trick is nothing but _Doubt._ This doubt comes from the evil one. This doubt was brought before Jesus too while He was fasting but Jesus overcame through the Spirit of the Word. As Proverbs 3:5 depicts, "Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding." In the same way, better to trust in God than in ourselves. Because Waiting is a beautiful journey and Trusting God is like adding beautiful scenery to it, giving us a divine aura. The moments which we have waited for and trusted God like anything is a worth living the moment.

 WORD OF THE DAY:

My dear brothers and sisters in Christ, once again I'll happily remind you to Trust God. Let God do it for you. Please do not make things worse by doing it yourself. Enjoy the moment of Waiting on the Lord, express your Joy while you're Trusting the Lord. I remember the day when I felt everything will be lost, I won't be able to get a solution. Feeling completely empty and zero hope, that is when I started to trust God by waiting upon Him. You need to believe me, today God has made me the Joyful woman, because that day I learned to slow down and wait upon Him and Trust God to solve things for me and bring things in correct order. The only thing God is concerned about is Us. He becomes sad when we think of His plan as not fitting in our shoes. But we need to... It's a must to trust God.

Jesus says, the one who trusts the Lord is Blessed. My dear friends, your parents, relatives or friends may measure you with your attitude, but God will never. God doesn't like to show partiality to anyone. God just wants us to keep Hope on Him when everything goes shut down. God wants us to put our Trust in Him when things doesn't work out. God wants us to have Faith in Him, when situations gets worse. It's all on Him. It's all upon His shoulders. Do not offend God when God asks you to Trust Him. If we don't trust God, it's like spearing our own feet. Let us have mercy on ourselves because we have wasted literally all our life doing nothing but worrying and not allowing God to work for us. The time has come to put all our egoes away and put our Trust in Him without hurting God.

 INTROSPECTING TIME:

1. How can I trust God?
2. Should I really put away all my plans?
3. I can't take longer..I hate to wait..?
4. Have I really wasted all my life?
5. Why is there no solution in my life?

 WORD OF PRAYER:

Dear Lord, teach us to keep our faith in you. Help us to wait on you and trust your process. May we never offend you through our words or action. In Jesus's name we ask in Faith.

Amen
