Where is Your Faith?

 TODAY'S DEVOTION:

Luke 8:25 - “Where is your faith?” he asked his disciples.

GREEK TERMS:

πίστις (pistis) - Faith

Faith comes from the heart, which is foreseen before we receive it.

THOUGHT OF THE DAY:

My father wanted to build a house, but he did not have enough money. One day my friend read in an article about Manifestation. I took it positively and told my father that evening about what my friend shared with me. And my Father took that statement for real and began to profess in Faith that he will build a home. Slowly he began to paint the picture of the house and professed it in Faith that he will build that house. After few weeks, he brought few icecream sticks and build the house of dreams and day and night he saw the prop and professed in Faith. Then he made in card board and professed it in Faith. Within 6 months, my father got a land in cheap price. And he became the engineer for the house. Slowly God began to provide all the financial needs and within next 6 months the house stood still. My father has named that house as Covenant.

This is what Faith is. Faith is not just to acquire materialistic needs but spiritual needs too. If you have not yet received the gift of the Holy Spirit, start professing in Faith that you have received it. If you have some issues related to character change, start read the Word and you will see the living word of God working inside you and transforming you. If you are struggling with some temptations and do not know how to get rid of it, then sit in the presence of God and ask the Holy Spirit to help you to overcome it. When you are scared of something or people or situation, ask the Lord to fill you with His Presence. With God all things are possible. The only thing we need to do is profess in Faith with whatever you are going through. I challenge you that within seconds you will find solutions for your problems.

WORD OF THE DAY:

My dear brothers and sisters in Christ, as Jesus asked the disciples, where is your Faith? So is God asking you, where is your Faith little one? While things go wrong and it doesn't work accordingly, we tremble as the disciples trembled. Jesus was with them, but they were scared. We too get scared even though God's presence is with us. When we get responsibilities we are confused whether we did it correctly or if our boss will find problems in it and make us do again. I have gone through such fears, when I get responsibilities, and submit my work, there is always a hint of fear, what if the boss gets angry for my silly mistakes. But in reality I would have done my work well. The fear comes from the devil, and the devil has got no rights over us. If we keep on overthinking, automatically doubts, fears and temptations will start to over shadow us. Do not give way to the devil, keep your hearts and minds focused on the Lord, allow the Holy Spirit to take control of you. If you don't have Faith in God, you will end up in hell. So Faith over fear is important.

 INTROSPECTING TIME:

1. How can I overcome fear?

2. Will I be able to keep Faith in God no matter what?

3. How shall I be faithful to God?

4. Why does Praying and Reading Bible seems boring?

5. Am I disappointing God by having no faith?

 WORD OF PRAYER:

Dear Lord, help us to have Faith in you. May we never offend you Lord. Teach us to spend time in your presence. May our lives be pleasing to you. In Jesus's name we ask in Faith.

Amen
