Child Like Heart

TODAY'S DEVOTION:

Luke 18:17 - Truly I tell you, anyone who will not receive the kingdom of God like a little child will never enter it.”

THOUGHT OF THE DAY:

In today’s world, we are taught to be strong, independent, and self-sufficient. But Jesus says something completely opposite, “If you want to enter the kingdom of God, become like a child.”

GREEK TERMS:

βασιλείαν (basileian) - The Kingdom
παιδίον (paidion) - Child
εἰσέλθῃ (eiselthē) - Will Not Enter

WHY A CHILD?

Because a child doesn’t try to earn love, they receive it. A child doesn’t overthink, they blindly trust. A child doesn’t pretend, they are real. A child doesn't keep grudges, they forget the sadness the next moment.

But today … We have complicated our faith. We try to control everything. We come to God with pride instead of humility. We try to take the job of God.

INTROSPECTING TIME

1. Do I truly trust God… or only when I understand?
2. Am I trying to earn God’s love?
3. Do I come to God openly … or hide behind pride?

KEY WORD:

God is not looking for perfect people, He is looking for people with CHILDLIKE hearts.

TO DO:

Today, let us do this: Trust God a little more and depend on Him and come to Him just as you are.

WORD OF PRAYER:

Dear Lord, make our hearts like a child, simple, trusting, and fully dependent on You. In Jesus name we ask in Faith.

Amen.
