Faith as Mustard Seed

TODAY'S DEVOTION:

Luke 17:6 - He replied, “If you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say to this mulberry tree, ‘Be uprooted and planted in the sea,’ and it will obey you.

GREEK TERMS:

πίστιν ὡς σινάπεως κόκκον
(pistin ōs sinapeōs kokkon)
Faith as a Mustard Seed

ὑπήκουσεν
(upēkousen)
And it will Obey

WHAT IS FAITH?

Faith is unseen, foreseen, and professed. We may not see it, but we must believe it. We may not feel it, but we must trust it. We may not understand it, but we must speak it. As a mustard seed is tiny yet it holds life inside it. In the same way, even a small faith holds God’s power. We don’t need big words, perfect prayers or strong emotions. We just need a willing heart that trusts God.

WORD OF PRAYER:

Dear Lord, forgive us for the days when we have not trusted You fully. Teach us O Lord, so that we may have faith in you even the little things. Help us to believe in Your power, speak Your promises, and walk in trust every day. May our little faith grow stronger in You. In Jesus name we ask in Faith.

Amen.
