• “Pray” — proseuchomai (προσεύχομαι)

THOUGHT OF THE DAY:
Jesus asked the disciples, “Why are you sleeping?” Even though their bodies were tired, it was a dangerous moment spiritually. The disciples slept when they should have prayed.
Many times, we also become spiritually sleepy. We delay prayer, ignore quiet time with God, and become weak against temptation. Jesus knew that prayer gives strength to stand firm.
Waking up early and praying is not just a habit, it is a spiritual preparation. Even a small prayer offered sincerely can protect our hearts throughout the day. When we pray, God gives us strength to overcome temptation, fear, distractions, and sin.
Sometimes we may struggle to wake up early, but every effort we make to seek God matters. Jesus is still telling us today: “Get up and pray.”
WORD OF PRAYER:
Dear Lord, teach us to pray and wait upon you, whether day dawn or dusk, wake us up early in the morning so that we may sit in your presence. Keep us away from all the temptations. Protect our mind, heart and the spirit. In Jesus name we ask in Faith.
Amen
