THOUGHT OF THE DAY:
As believers, we are not called to depend on our own intelligence, confidence, or prepared speeches. Jesus Himself promised that He would give us the right Words and Wisdom through the Holy Spirit. Sometimes people may reject us, question us, or misunderstand us, but when God leads us, He also equips us. More than speaking many words, our life, character, conduct, and attitude should reflect Christ. People should not only hear Jesus through us, but also see Jesus in us.
MY TESTIMONY:
During my Bible college days, while traveling home by train, I once felt encouraged to share the Gospel with a girl sitting opposite me. After gathering courage, I introduced myself and told her that I was a Bible college student. Immediately she replied, “Sorry, it’s better we don’t speak because I am an atheist,” and she moved away. That moment deeply discouraged me, and for a long time I became afraid to speak to people about Jesus because I feared rejection and hurt.
But as I grew in prayer and in the Word of God, I slowly realized that ministry is not about human confidence or clever words. It is about the leading of the Holy Spirit. God began teaching me that people may first see Jesus through our behavior, peace, love, and character before hearing Him through our words. Whenever God specifically led me to speak to someone, He also gave me wisdom and the right words to say. Even difficult questions became opportunities for God’s wisdom to work through me.
HABITS TO CHANGE:
1. Fear of rejection
2. Depending on human wisdom
3. Speaking without prayer
4. Doing ministry without God’s leading
HABITS TO BUILD:
1. Listening to the Holy Spirit
2. Spending time in God’s Word
3. Praying before speaking
4. Reflecting Jesus through our character and conduct
INTROSPECTING QUESTIONS:
1. Does my words reflect Christ?
2. Am I led by fear or by the Holy Spirit?
3. How can people see Jesus through my lives?
TODAY’S AFFIRMATION:
1. Today I will not depend on my own wisdom.
2. Today God will give me the right words and His divine wisdom at the right time.
WORD OF PRAYER:
Dear Lord, we thank You for promising to give us Your Words and Your Wisdom. Help us not to depend on our own understanding but on the guidance of the Holy Spirit. Fill our lives with Your presence so that people may see You through us. Remove fear and give us boldness, wisdom, and love to speak according to Your will. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
