Faith as Mustard Seed

Image
TODAY'S DEVOTION: Luke 17:6 - He replied, “If you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say to this mulberry tree, ‘Be uprooted and planted in the sea,’ and it will obey you. GREEK TERMS: πίστιν ὡς σινάπεως κόκκον (pistin ōs sinapeōs kokkon) Faith as a Mustard Seed  ὑπήκουσεν  (upēkousen) And it will Obey WHAT IS FAITH? Faith is unseen, foreseen, and professed. We may not see it, but we must believe it. We may not feel it, but we must trust it. We may not understand it, but we must speak it. As a mustard seed is tiny yet it holds life inside it. In the same way, even a small faith holds God’s power. We don’t need big words, perfect prayers or strong emotions. We just need a willing heart that trusts God. WORD OF PRAYER:   Dear Lord, forgive us for the days when we have not trusted You fully. Teach us O Lord, so that we may have faith in you even the little things. Help us to believe in Your power, speak Your promises, and walk in trust every day....

The Tastemaker

Image
TODAY'S DEVOTION: Luke 14:34 - “Salt is good, but if it loses its saltiness, how can it be made salty again?  GREEK TERMS: ἅλας (alas) - Salt The tastemaker. Καλὸν (kalon) - Good The tastemaker must be good and preserving. μωρανθῇ (mōranthē) - loses it's saltiness  Losing the essence in life. THOUGHT OF THE DAY: Imagine this… You’re cooking your favorite dish. You add all the ingredients, spices, vegetables, everything looks perfect. But when it is tasted … something is missing. That is Salt. Without salt, even the best food feels empty. That’s exactly what Jesus is saying about our lives. Think of a glowing bulb, When it’s connected to power, it shines brightly. But when it’s disconnected… it still looks like a bulb, but gives no light. In the same way, we may still look like believers on the outside, but without connection to God, we lose our influence. We are like salt in this world. We are meant to bring:-  - Flavor: Joy, Kindness, Love  - Preservatio...

Where Am I with God?

Image
TODAY’S DEVOTION: We often go to God with questions… Why is this happening? What should I do? Where are You, Lord? When will You answer me? But today, pause for a moment… And turn those questions inward. Ask yourself: Am I truly obedient to God? Do I genuinely love Him? Is my life pleasing in His sight? Am I faithful and true to Him? Is the Holy Spirit pleased with my spiritual walk? Am I in right standing with God? Is my devotion real… or just a daily routine? Do I value the time I spend listening to His voice? Is my prayer only about my needs… or is it true worship from my heart, soul, and mind? These are not easy questions. But they are necessary. Because Life with Christ is not just about seeking God in times of need, It is about walking with Him daily, in truth and sincerity. The Word reminds us in 2 Corinthians 13:5: "Examine yourselves to see whether you are in the faith; test yourselves. Do you not realize that Christ Jesus is in you, unless, of course, you fai...

The First Step for a Disciple: Taking Up The Cross

Image
TODAY'S DEVOTION  Luke 14:27 - And whoever does not carry their cross and follow me cannot be my disciple. GREEK TERMS: βαστάζει (bastazei) - Does Not Carry To take up, bear, or willingly carry a burden. It speaks of accepting the life, responsibility, and calling God has given, without complaining. ἑαυτοῦ (eautou) - His Own The one must be responsible for himself or herself, it cannot be carried out by others or you cannot do for others. σταυρὸν (stauron) - Cross The Cross is a Must for every Christian believer. Walking with the Lord as Enoch, Noah, Abraham, Issac walked with the Lord. μαθητής (mathētēs) - Be My Disciple  Being the disciple means, getting into the character of Christ.  WORD OF THE DAY: Jesus does not call us to comfort, He calls us to co...

Flourish Like A Palm Tree

Image
TODAY'S DEVOTION: "Psalms 92:12 - The righteous will flourish like a palm tree ..." It was a simple moment yet a deep meaning... My husband and I were traveling in train, quietly watching the world pass by through the window. The road stretched ahead, and along its sides stood rows of palm trees - tall, steady, unmoved by the changing winds. As I admired them, my husband said something that stayed with me: “Do you know the speciality of a palm tree? It can grow anywhere - desert, mud, harsh weather, any season. And wherever it grows, the surroundings begin to flourish too. That’s because its roots go deep.” That one thought turned an ordinary journey into a living message. A palm tree doesn’t depend on perfect conditions. It doesn’t wait for ideal soil or gentle weather. It grows anyway. Its strength is hidden underground, in its deep, unshaken roots. Storms may bend it, but they rarely break it. And isn’t that what God calls us to be? To flourish, not because...

Learn To Be Humble

Image
TODAY'S DEVOTION: Luke 14:11 - For all those who exalt themselves will be humbled, and those who humble themselves will be exalted.” GREEK TERMS: ταπεινῶν (tapeinōn) - Those Who Humble  The one who is humble in nature, is favoured by God. ὑψωθήσεται (upsōthēsetai) - Will Be Exalted  The one who is humble in their words and actions shall see the blessings of God. KEY THOUGHTS: Jesus is the best example to begin with. He was humble from his very birth. He is the king of the universe yet He chose the poor family. He worked as a carpenter. He obeyed His human parents. He was friends with the sinners. He ate with the sinners. And He gave His life on the Cross. Just for the sins of the Human beings. He was treated like a sinner, the one who does crimes. Yet Jesus was humble.  As young people, we opt to be friends with the people who are rich, who has name and fame. So that we too can be benefited. The cloths that we wear, the accents that we speak, the people that w...

Ready Before The Call

Image
TODAY'S DEVOTION:  Luke 12:35 - “Be dressed ready for service and keep your lamps burning... GREEK TERMS: περιεζωσμέναι (periezōsmenai) - Be Dressed Ready λύχνοι (luchnoi) - Keep Your Lamps καιόμενοι (kaiomenoi) - Burning  KEY THOUGHT: Be Dressed: Every moment of our lives, we must be prepared for everything, when we hear that we are expecting a guest tonight, from morning itself we will keep our home tidy, start preparing food for them, dress well and groom ourselves well. In the same way, we must be prepared well for all the positives and negatives challenges in our lives. Every day is a ministry for us. So we need to be spiritually dressed in prayers and word.  Ready for Service: The service means the mission we get by God. It can be anything. For every individual ministry is different. For some it can be easy, for some it can be difficult. Yet we need to serve God with our everything. If our life is not pleasing to God then we are not worthy to serve God. ...
