In the Last Days

Image
TODAY’S DEVOTION: Luke 21:34–36 - “Be careful, or your hearts will be weighed down with carousing, drunkenness and the anxieties of life, and that day will close on you suddenly like a trap. For it will come on all those who live on the face of the whole earth. Be always on the watch, and pray that you may be able to escape all that is about to happen, and that you may be able to stand before the Son of Man.” GREEK TERMS: Be Careful - Prosechete (προσέχετε)  To be watchful, alert, attentive. The Right Words & Wisdom

Image
TODAY'S DEVOTION: Luke 21:15 - For I will give you words and wisdom that none of your adversaries will be able to resist or contradict.  GREEK TERMS: Sophia (σοφία) - Wisdom Meaning: Divine wisdom and heavenly understanding given by God. Stoma (στόμα) - Words Meaning: Speech, utterance, or words spoken through the mouth. THOUGHT OF THE DAY: As believers, we are not called to depend on our own intelligence, confidence, or prepared speeches. Jesus Himself promised that He would give us the right Words and Wisdom through the Holy Spirit. Sometimes people may reject us, question us, or misunderstand us, but when God leads us, He also equips us. More than speaking many words, our life, character, conduct, and attitude should reflect Christ. People should not only hear Jesus through us, but also see Jesus in us. MY TESTIMONY: During my Bible college days, while traveling home by train, I once felt encouraged to share the Gospel with a girl sitting opposite me. After gathering...

The House of Prayer

Image
TODAY'S DEVOTION: Luke 19:46 - “It is written,” he said to them, “ ‘My house will be a house of prayer’; but you have made it ‘a den of robbers.’” GREEK TERMS: 1. Οἶκος (Oikos) - House Meaning: dwelling place, family household, sacred residence. Jesus was not speaking merely about a building. He was speaking about a place belonging to God. Today, our lives are God’s Oikos. Our hearts are meant to become a dwelling place for Christ. 2. Προσευχή (Proseuchē) - Prayer Meaning: prayer, communion, worshipful conversation with God. A house of prayer is not just a place where prayers are spoken. It is a life constantly connected to God. 3. Σπήλαιον (Spēlaion) - Den Meaning: cave, hiding place. The temple became a hiding place for corruption. Outwardly religious, inwardly impure. Sometimes we also hide behind Christian appearances while secretly entertaining sin, pride, compromise, jealousy, impurity, laziness, bitterness, and disobedience. 4. Λῃστῶν (Lēstōn) - Robbers Meaning: ...

The Lord Needs It ...

Image
TODAY'S DEVOTION: Luke 19:34 - They replied, “The Lord needs it.” GREEK TERMS: χρεία (chreia) – a necessity, a divine requirement This means when God says, “I need you,” it is not out of lack, It is an invitation into His purpose. WORD OF THE DAY: During the time of the Roman Empire, people were expecting a powerful king. But Jesus Christ chose a different way: Humility Over Display. Before His entry into Jerusalem, Jesus gave very clear instructions to His disciples: 1. Go to the nearby village. 2. You will find a colt tied there. 3. Untie it and bring it to Me. 4. If anyone asks, say: “The Lord needs it.” This shows something powerful, when God speaks, He is precise. His plans are intentional, and His instructions carry purpose. When He needs something, He doesn’t ask randomly, He calls with purpose. MY TESTIMONY: When I reflect on this passage, I see my own life in that donkey. There was a time I never wanted ministry. I had my own dreams, I wanted to go into defense...

OPEN MY EYES, O LORD!

Image
TODAY'S DEVOTION:    Luke 18:42 - Jesus said to him, “Receive your sight; your faith has healed you.”    GREEK TERMS: ἀνάβλεψον (anablepson) – “Receive sight / see again” Not just seeing, but restoration of true vision πίστις (pistis) – Faith Trust, reliance, complete dependence on God σέσωκέν (sesōken) – “Has healed / saved” Indicates complete healing (spiritual + physical + eternal)   WORD OF THE DAY: This word is not just about a miracle; rather it is about a transformation. “Receive your sight” is more than physical vision. It is: · Spiritual awakening · Emotional clarity · Mental renewal · Relational discernment · Financial alignment under God Healing is not limited to the body, rather it touches every area of life. Just like Saul received sight after blindness, our greatest blindness is often spiritual. We may: · Pray regularly · Read the Bible · Attend church Yet still… · Miss God’s voice ·...

God is Possible

Image
TODAY'S DEVOTION:   Luke 18:27 - Jesus replied, “What is impossible with man is possible with God.”   GREEK TERMS: δυνατὰ θεῷ (dunata theō) - Possible With God  A faith affirmation uttered from our mouth. THOUGHT OF THE DAY: Jesus clearly reminds us that our limitations are not God’s limitations. In life, we wait for many things: answers to prayers, breakthroughs, healing, restoration, and direction. Sometimes the waiting becomes heavy, and slowly, doubt, frustration, and fear begin to grow within us. But today, God is gently reminding you: 1. Do not measure His power by your situation. 2. What you cannot do, God can do. 3. What you cannot see, God is already working on.   KEY MESSAGE:   God is limitless, but our faith, attitude, and willingness matter. When we align our hearts with Him, trust His timing, and surrender our control, we begin to see His power at work. Do not limit God. Let Him move freely in your life.   QUALITIES TO CULTIVA...

Child Like Heart

Image
TODAY'S DEVOTION: Luke 18:17 - Truly I tell you, anyone who will not receive the kingdom of God like a little child will never enter it.” THOUGHT OF THE DAY: In today’s world, we are taught to be strong, independent, and self-sufficient. But Jesus says something completely opposite, “If you want to enter the kingdom of God, become like a child.” GREEK TERMS : βασιλείαν (basileian) - The Kingdom  παιδίον (paidion) - Child εἰσέλθῃ (eiselthē) - Will Not Enter WHY A CHILD? Because a child doesn’t try to earn love, they receive it. A child doesn’t overthink, they blindly trust. A child doesn’t pretend, they are real. A child doesn't keep grudges, they forget the sadness the next moment. But today … We have complicated our faith. We try to control everything. We come to God with pride instead of humility. We try to take the job of God.  INTROSPECTING TIME 1. Do I truly trust God… or only when I understand? 2. Am I trying to earn God’s love? 3. Do I come to God openly … o...

Faith as Mustard Seed

Image
TODAY'S DEVOTION: Luke 17:6 - He replied, “If you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say to this mulberry tree, ‘Be uprooted and planted in the sea,’ and it will obey you. GREEK TERMS: πίστιν ὡς σινάπεως κόκκον (pistin ōs sinapeōs kokkon) Faith as a Mustard Seed  ὑπήκουσεν  (upēkousen) And it will Obey WHAT IS FAITH? Faith is unseen, foreseen, and professed. We may not see it, but we must believe it. We may not feel it, but we must trust it. We may not understand it, but we must speak it. As a mustard seed is tiny yet it holds life inside it. In the same way, even a small faith holds God’s power. We don’t need big words, perfect prayers or strong emotions. We just need a willing heart that trusts God. WORD OF PRAYER:   Dear Lord, forgive us for the days when we have not trusted You fully. Teach us O Lord, so that we may have faith in you even the little things. Help us to believe in Your power, speak Your promises, and walk in trust every day....

The Tastemaker

Image
TODAY'S DEVOTION: Luke 14:34 - “Salt is good, but if it loses its saltiness, how can it be made salty again?  GREEK TERMS: ἅλας (alas) - Salt The tastemaker. Καλὸν (kalon) - Good The tastemaker must be good and preserving. μωρανθῇ (mōranthē) - loses it's saltiness  Losing the essence in life. THOUGHT OF THE DAY: Imagine this… You’re cooking your favorite dish. You add all the ingredients, spices, vegetables, everything looks perfect. But when it is tasted … something is missing. That is Salt. Without salt, even the best food feels empty. That’s exactly what Jesus is saying about our lives. Think of a glowing bulb, When it’s connected to power, it shines brightly. But when it’s disconnected… it still looks like a bulb, but gives no light. In the same way, we may still look like believers on the outside, but without connection to God, we lose our influence. We are like salt in this world. We are meant to bring:-  - Flavor: Joy, Kindness, Love  - Preservatio...

Where Am I with God?

Image
TODAY’S DEVOTION: We often go to God with questions… Why is this happening? What should I do? Where are You, Lord? When will You answer me? But today, pause for a moment… And turn those questions inward. Ask yourself: Am I truly obedient to God? Do I genuinely love Him? Is my life pleasing in His sight? Am I faithful and true to Him? Is the Holy Spirit pleased with my spiritual walk? Am I in right standing with God? Is my devotion real… or just a daily routine? Do I value the time I spend listening to His voice? Is my prayer only about my needs… or is it true worship from my heart, soul, and mind? These are not easy questions. But they are necessary. Because Life with Christ is not just about seeking God in times of need, It is about walking with Him daily, in truth and sincerity. The Word reminds us in 2 Corinthians 13:5: "Examine yourselves to see whether you are in the faith; test yourselves. Do you not realize that Christ Jesus is in you, unless, of course, you fai...

The First Step for a Disciple: Taking Up The Cross

Image
TODAY'S DEVOTION  Luke 14:27 - And whoever does not carry their cross and follow me cannot be my disciple. It speaks of accepting the life, responsibility, and calling God has given, without complaining. ἑαυτοῦ (eautou) - His Own The one must be responsible for himself or herself, it cannot be carried out by others or you cannot do for others. σταυρὸν (stauron) - Cross The Cross is a Must for every Christian believer. The Cross represents sacrifice, surrender, and obedience. It is not just suffering, but a life laid down daily for Christ. ἔρχεται (erchetai) - Come After Or Follow Following Christ even when things go wrong. Walking with the Lord as Enoch, Noah, Abraham, Issac walked with the Lord. μαθητής (mathētēs) - Be My Disciple  Being the disciple means, getting into the character of Christ.  WORD OF THE DAY: Jesus does not call us to comfort, He calls us to co...

Flourish Like A Palm Tree

Image
TODAY'S DEVOTION: "Psalms 92:12 - The righteous will flourish like a palm tree ..." It was a simple moment yet a deep meaning... My husband and I were traveling in train, quietly watching the world pass by through the window. The road stretched ahead, and along its sides stood rows of palm trees - tall, steady, unmoved by the changing winds. As I admired them, my husband said something that stayed with me: “Do you know the speciality of a palm tree? It can grow anywhere - desert, mud, harsh weather, any season. And wherever it grows, the surroundings begin to flourish too. That’s because its roots go deep.” That one thought turned an ordinary journey into a living message. A palm tree doesn’t depend on perfect conditions. It doesn’t wait for ideal soil or gentle weather. It grows anyway. Its strength is hidden underground, in its deep, unshaken roots. Storms may bend it, but they rarely break it. And isn’t that what God calls us to be? To flourish, not because...

Learn To Be Humble

Image
TODAY'S DEVOTION: Luke 14:11 - For all those who exalt themselves will be humbled, and those who humble themselves will be exalted.” GREEK TERMS: ταπεινῶν (tapeinōn) - Those Who Humble  The one who is humble in nature, is favoured by God. ὑψωθήσεται (upsōthēsetai) - Will Be Exalted  The one who is humble in their words and actions shall see the blessings of God. KEY THOUGHTS: Jesus is the best example to begin with. He was humble from his very birth. He is the king of the universe yet He chose the poor family. He worked as a carpenter. He obeyed His human parents. He was friends with the sinners. He ate with the sinners. And He gave His life on the Cross. Just for the sins of the Human beings. He was treated like a sinner, the one who does crimes. Yet Jesus was humble.  As young people, we opt to be friends with the people who are rich, who has name and fame. So that we too can be benefited. The cloths that we wear, the accents that we speak, the people that w...

Ready Before The Call

Image
TODAY'S DEVOTION:  Luke 12:35 - “Be dressed ready for service and keep your lamps burning... GREEK TERMS: περιεζωσμέναι (periezōsmenai) - Be Dressed Ready λύχνοι (luchnoi) - Keep Your Lamps καιόμενοι (kaiomenoi) - Burning  KEY THOUGHT: Be Dressed: Every moment of our lives, we must be prepared for everything, when we hear that we are expecting a guest tonight, from morning itself we will keep our home tidy, start preparing food for them, dress well and groom ourselves well. In the same way, we must be prepared well for all the positives and negatives challenges in our lives. Every day is a ministry for us. So we need to be spiritually dressed in prayers and word.  Ready for Service: The service means the mission we get by God. It can be anything. For every individual ministry is different. For some it can be easy, for some it can be difficult. Yet we need to serve God with our everything. If our life is not pleasing to God then we are not worthy to serve God. ...

May the Holy Spirit Guide You

To help us in every decisions. διδάξει (didaxei) - Will Teach The Holy Spirit is the best counselor and teacher, who will help us to take the right choice, It will always lead us in right path. αὐτῇ ὥρᾳ (autē ōra) - At That Time  The Holy Spirit helps us whenever and wherever. It doesn't need a special appointment. WORD OF THE DAY:  Holy Spirit is not like the 5G network connection, running for few hours then all the data is lost. If we connect our laptop with the wifi, when the electricity is gone, it takes away the wifi with itself. Holy Spirit is not like that, whenever we call him, wherever we call him, it is always ready to help us. The thing is we need to call unto him. We need to allow the Holy Spirit to work in us. Whatever we say or do, eve...

You are Worthy

Image
TODAY'S DEVOTION:  Luke 12:6-7 "Are not five sparrows sold for two pennies? Yet not one of them is forgotten by God. Indeed, the very hairs of your head are all numbered. Don’t be afraid; you are worth more than many sparrows." GREEK TERMS:   ἓν ἐπιλελησμένον (en epilelēsmenon) - Not One of Them is Forgotten Even a small bird is valued by God. Have you eve...

Do not be Anxious

Image
TODAY'S DEVOTION: Luke 10:41 - “Martha, Martha,” the Lord answered, “you are worried and upset about many things,  GREEK TERMS: μεριμνᾷς (merimnas) - Worried   The situation which we can't overcome by our own πολλά (polla) - Many Things  The unending train of sorrows and worries eating us up. THOUGHT OF THE DAY: The other name of a person who keeps worrying and hurrying, always anxious and scared and trying to fix things up without caring about oneself is called Martha. It's is true that living in this world is very difficult. We try all our best to keep giving our 100% still we fail. Sometimes we fail to be perfect, or we mess things up, our relationship with our loved ones are scattered, we fail to impress the people we love, we fail to save money for the next day. Somewhere or the other we just mess up. You don't have to worry for God says, do not worry, do be anxious about anything, keep everything on my shoulders and relax.  Learn how to rest and fix...

God Who Scans Our Intentions

Image
TODAY'S DEVOTION Luke 10:20 - However, do not rejoice that the spirits submit to you, but rejoice that your names are written in heaven.” GREEK TERMS: χαίρετε (chairete) - Rejoice This rejoice determines our intention, where does your heart find joy? Is it from things that gives you power or is it from the unseen thing which is captured by God. ὀνόματα (onomata) - Your Names Your name must be written in the heaven, your name doesn't have to be in anyone's heart or mind or in any book. ἐγγέγραπται (engegraptai) - Written The inscription of your name, which is an important entry ticket in heaven. οὐρανοῖς (ouranois) - Heaven The place where God resides and that is where God wants us to live. In Need of Workers

Image
TODAY'S DEVOTION Luke 10:2 - He told them, “The harvest is plentiful, but the workers are few. Ask the Lord of the harvest, therefore, to send out workers into his harvest field.  GREEK TERMS: θερισμὸ (therismo) - Harvest The field whether it's mission or work, the place where the work is done. πολύς (polus) - Plentiful The unfinished work yet to be be finished. ἐργάται (ergatai) - Workers Whether a Pastor, a Boss, a Teacher or an Employee, they are workers. ἐκβάλῃ (ekbalē) - To Send To send the people out to work and not stay idle. THOUGHT OF THE DAY: You must have understood this verse very well. There is no need for an explanation but still it's a must to take it into consideration because as a Christian believer of Christ Jesus we are responsible as well as destined to work in the vineyard of God. When women gather what is their talk? When men gather what are their word of the day? We ought not to speak anything that is not propagating the Word of God as Eph...

Miracle No:1 He Hears me in my Silence

Image
During the days of the COVID pandemic, I went through a season that quietly tested my faith. For nearly six months, I struggled to speak. Opening my mouth brought pain, and even the simplest words felt impossible. I couldn’t talk freely with my parents, and something that once brought me joy, singing in worship became something I could no longer do. My mother often encouraged me, gently reminding me to pray and trust God. I tried medications too, hoping something would change, but nothing seemed to work. As the months passed three, then four the struggle continued, and the pain remained. One night, everything reached a breaking point. I couldn’t bear it anymore. In that moment, I turned to the Lord from my heart and prayed, “Lord, I can’t do this anymore. Please heal me.” It was a simple prayer, but it came from a place of complete surrender. Early the next morning, around four o’clock, I had a dream. I saw myself sitting on a bed in a room, and near the bed there was a doo...
